It should be absolutely lovely tonight. I know I and the other Junior Auxiliary members have been hard at work to make certain it is an enjoyable event. And of course, the hard work is entirely worth all that effort, as St Mungo's is an incredibly worthwhile organisation to support. Their training and research programmes are unparallelled, and it is such an honour to do my small part in helping them raise funds.

I've had last minute word that yes, Cats Hexing and Dark of the Moor have pulled out due to being suddenly committed to the Parade and subsequent festivities tomorrow.

Naturally, the desires of Our Lord must be met immediately and without question.

I've managed to pull some equally last-minute favours. Starstruck and Tintagel will each play longer sets, and Nolan Tennebridge suggested that Leonn Njonn might want to sing a few songs off of a solo album he's been working on. We'll put him early in the line-up.

This is utter madness. The parade in honour of His Royal Pain In The Arse pulled two of our designated bands at the last possible minute. Diana Derrick is driving me m up the wall with her increasing demands on Whizbangs, and if I hear 'after all it's for charity, darling,' I shall scream.

And tomorrow we get to tow row for a few hours. Joy.

And George Weasley. I still can't quite get over my Christmas present. The robes were absolutely lovely.

Dear Aunt,

I was just thinking of how wonderfully glittering you and Lucius were last winter, and how pale and dull everything will be in comparison this time round without you both there. Are you at least planning on making an appearance? I very much hope so, to lend at least a bit of light to the proceedings.

If you are amenable and able, I would love to stop by for tea on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I very much hope you had a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas, and that you received my gift.

Lucius's absence continues to be so very glaring. The Prophet hardly knows how to report anything with any validity as of late, and I'm already anticipating that my latest business venture will be monumentally difficult due to anticipated delays in permits. It's so clear to me that the Protectorate is hurting without his steady hand at the wheel. I only wish others could see it that way too.
