Dear Lucius;
I've been talking with Harry about planning for Draco's party. I know that you're probably very busy right now, and most likely already have plans for his party after school is finished, but we both thought that we could do something special for him during school as well seeing as how we're all going to be staying after exams for the last Task.
It's been a long year without Quidditch, and we've got that brand new team in New London, and I thought we might be able to convince them to come up for a practice session here at Hogwarts and have some of the students including Draco, of course, play in an exhibition match.
We've got two potential time slots I thought would work best, given final exams and the Triwizard tournament, and I understand how much coordination and care those things would take, so I'd be careful to not make it be troublesome, and would be sure to ask permission from all the people I'd need to. If that doesn't end up working out, we've got other ideas too.
If you know who I could get in touch with about having them come here, Harry and I could write them ourselves and see whether they'd be available. I just know that you certainly have connections, and would know the best way to go about organizing something like this, and Harry and I both want to make sure that Draco's birthday is very special.
And, of course, I hope you are having a marvellous spring, and I'm doing very well, and I've truly been enjoying our visiting friends from Beaxbatons and Durmstrang. You've probably heard that Slytherin was very well represented in the new counsellors for the YPL, and I can't wait for this summer. I miss you very much, and look forward to seeing you at the Third Task.
All my love;
Pansy

Date: 2012-05-22 08:04 pm (UTC)You know, I had half-expected to hear from you Sunday or yesterday, but not about this.
There is a ... challenge ... at present, using the Hogwarts pitch for anything of the sort you propose. We did not cancel the Quidditch season lightly; the area of and around the pitch is being used for other purposes. Harry, you should be learning the precise nature of that use soon enough.
However, that is not to say that it would not be possible to arrange something if security can be organised so that Harry and the rest of you may leave school grounds.
You've a scant two weeks, however, if you wish to assemble this party on the Saturday prior Draco's birthday. Or had you expected to plan it for the following week-end?
In any event, would not recommend the Lethifolds for this venture. Cannot afford to owe any of their owners a debt, at present, even one that turns to their own advantage. Allow me to make inquiries with a more likely side.
If nothing else, you both have extraordinarily expensive taste in giving each other presents.

Date: 2012-05-22 08:17 pm (UTC)I was thinking that following the Tri-wizard cup, we'd all be a bit at loose ends, what with most people not leaving until the 16th, and without classes or exams. And during the week, Quidditch teams might be less likely to have a match. So perhaps the 14th or 15th, if that'd give more time to pull things together?
I would greatly appreciate if you'd see if they could come, and, like I've said, we've been tossing around other smaller-scale plans if that one doesn't work.
It's too bad about the pitch, but I'm sure it would be just as wonderful elsewhere.
