Hello, Harry.

I figured we need to start sorting out Draco's birthday and what we could do for it. I know you're occupied with the upcoming task, so I figured you could help me settle on something and then I could do most of the arranging.

Do you have any ideas?

I know we have to pull it off during that first weekend in June, because then we've got finals, and then you've got the Third Task. That, or we wait until after exams and things, which would give us more time to plan.

I was thinking if we talked to Lucius, we might be able to organize an exhibition with the New London Quidditch team, maybe even split them up and have some of our own join in for a pick-up game here at Hogwarts? I know he's been missing Quidditch this year, and if we have a party after and get some team members to stay for it, that might be well snitch. That, or have some bands come and play. I know Tintagel would come if we asked, and if we get one more, that'd make for a proper set, wouldn't it?

We'd have to ask for permission, of course, and if it was something large, we'd have to expect that other people would be invited too, not just people from our House. Which he might like if it was a Quidditch exhibition he got to play in, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

Or we could keep it small, just us Slytherins.

I just want it to be really special. And something he'd enjoy.

Yeah, that's right, he didn't have much of a decent birthday last year with everything that happened and all.

I think if you're planning it, it's going to be something he'll like.

I don't know. I don't plan these things a lot.

Well, you've got to start somewhere. And seeing as how his rotten birthday last year was pretty much entirely your fault, I think you owe it to him, don't you?

I know he likes spending time with people he's close with. And those people are mostly in Slytherin.

But I also know that he'd totally appreciate something just fantastic and different.

Maybe... maybe we could start off with something small, and then surprise him with the larger thing? Like have a picnic where we take our brooms along, and it's people he likes best, like you, and Hydra, and me, and Blaise and Daphs and Sally-Anne, and, well, I guess pretty much every Slyth from our year would have to be invited else they'd get shirty, but that's still on the small side. And then after we do that for an hour, playing games and eating, we could surprise him with the real exhibition game by flying over there together. So that way he gets time with friends, and then he gets a really nice surprise.

If we could even get them to come, that is.

So, okay, he thinks we're all just going to go for a nice flying trip around the lake or something, and then there's the surprise.

I can see that, yeah.

And if it's during a time when they're practising or training or something, they maybe could just come up and practise here instead. If they're a new team, it'd be smart, because they'd probably get loads more fans that way, especially since a bunch of us already saw them for that one thing.

And if we made it a proper game, yeah, splitting them up and having some of our players in there would be loads of fun. I mean, it's something I'd want to do.

All right. So we'd have to do some things.

1.) We'd have to check availability and if they'd be willing to come up.

2.) We'd have to ask permission from Madame Hooch, and probably Professor Slughorn too.

3.) Once things were sorted, we'd have to make sure people knew about the surprise so they'd come to the exhibition without telling him. Maybe we make sure he leaves his journal behind when we go on the picnic, and then make an announcement about the game or something? We could do that.

But it depends on if they're free.

And if we have permission.

But we can certainly try, can't we?

You know Hooch better than I do. How about you ask her permission, and I can write Lucius and see if he can help arrange things, or at least get me the proper introductions to the people who could help organize things. And I'll include you on the private message so it's like it's from both of us.
