I could have probably found you a real one to smoke around here somewhere - Blaise has them sometimes - but I figured you'd rather not.
If you're not entirely cheered up yet I'd understand. I reckon I was an unusual child in that the idea of having a younger sibling always made me want to throw an epic tantrum. Fortunately, Mother always wished she'd been an only child, so she made sure that I stayed one, instead.
I like the smell of pipe tobacco. My grandfather used to smoke it, and it's one of the only things I really remember about him. Sort of like smokey vanilla. But cigar smoke is definitely ugh. If it tastes like it smells, then I'd take the marzipan any day.
I think it's more that I'm looking forward to what it could be, if everything works out the way I hope it will, and worried that it might not. So it's just a bit up and down, that's all.
And I'm trying to imagine you doing anything so undignified as throwing a tantrum!
Pipes are cool when you're old, and cigars are for when you're young. Supposedly. Some cigars can be well naff, but if they're actually from Cuba it's not so bad.
It's a long way off before you can know for sure. He's just been born, after all. You'll be in your twenties when he starts at Hogwarts, though, so I don't know how he could see you as anything but utterly snitch. His parents will be absolutely ancient by comparison.
My Father can regale you with plenty of tantrum stories (mind, he has a tendency to see an even slightly pouty lip as a tantrum), but mostly, I'm surprised you can't think of any you witnessed yourself. Seven year olds don't have much of a sense of dignity, you know.
True, but I was equally undignified (if not even more so)! I'm sure I thought you much more restrained by comparison.
I can't wait til I'm that age. I think it'll be just utterly brilliant being done with school and out in the world. And being the cool older sister with a house in New London? That is something I can definitely handle.
