I'm sure he'll be better tomorrow. Maybe not all the way better, but better than he was tonight.

And that's what friends are for. Really, truly, Hydra, whatever would help you best, we're both here for you.

I'm so angry about what happened to Justin. It's so wrong. But he'll get better. And I think that he'll end up having made far more friends than enemies out of the whole thing, and friends don't let this sort of thing happen to other friends.

I was just talking to Sally Anne this morning, on the journals, about how I hoped this had stopped once and for all, and now it's worse than ever.

I really wish I hadn't hexed Coty in Hogsmeade. I can't help but feel that's what made everything escalate.

I hope you're right, though, about having more friends than enemies when all's said and done.

I wouldn't blame you for what happened. No-one responds to an encounter like that with "Oh, let's get them back by trying to kill them!"

At least no-one sane.

If it went too far, it is entirely their fault. You were just protecting yourself and Justin, and there's nothing wrong with what you did. At all.

If we're lucky, you can catch them before they're both kicked out of the country to give them a little something to savour on their trip back home.

Yes, he was. It had to have been excruciating. And the way he was writing for help it was as if he'd had no more than a parchment cut or had a minor run-in with Peeves. I'm glad Ron Weasley seemed to sense it was worse than he was saying.

Justin's got a very pleasant way about him. I know he's been quite friendly with Ron, and I've seen him talk to Luna quite a few times. And it's because he's the sort of person that he is that both of them came running just as soon as he needed help.

I'm only sorry we all couldn't have been there to stop it from happening in the first place.
