I don't know about the rest of you, but I had an absolutely marvellous time last night, and most everyone I've talked to has had a fine time as well.
The band was a wonderful surprise -- apparently, Tintagel is launching their first album in the next few weeks, and our song will be the second single they'll be releasing for radio, so it'll be the first song on the "A" side of the record, and we may hear it being played on the wireless by New Years. How exciting! I think they did a really smashing job, and I'm looking forward to the rest of their album. Mr Tenebridge was so gracious to arrange for them to play last night. I really thoroughly enjoyed it.
I hope everyone is recovering from a night of dancing, and it's hard to believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I've got all my shopping done, thank goodness, so I can enjoy the next few days. Mother, I've had your and Prospero's presents sent to you so they ought to arrive on time. I hope you're doing well, and next time I come to Gloss House, I look forward to meeting my new brother. He ought to be making an appearance any day now, from what you've written me, and I think that's the best Christmas gift you both could have. I'll keep my eyes open for the announcement.
And Lucius and Aunt Narcissa, it was so good to catch up with you at the Ball. Although I'm sorry to be missing out on your Christmas party, I'm so glad I got to see you both during the holiday season.

Private Message to Sally-Anne
Date: 2011-12-23 05:13 pm (UTC)You are absolutely glowing in all of your pictures. Even though some of the stories are a bit catty, anyone with eyes can see just how happy both of you are, and honestly, if you'd had a dress that was the most expensive in the room, they'd make a fuss over that too. You looked absolutely beautiful, and perfectly appropriate for a ball, and I'm so glad you had a good time.
When you came in the room, Patil looked like she'd eaten one of those manky mangoes. It was brilliant.

That's a good idea about a walk later. Do you think we should warn Ron or just ambush him with Viktor and hope his mum's training overcomes his Gryffindor contrarian-ness and he behaves?

I say ambush. And we can do something, like throw snowballs at a tree, or try skating on the pond, because it's always much easier to get on with someone when you're doing something fun than if you just have to walk and come up with conversation. Boys can be so bad at that sort of thing.

Date: 2011-12-23 05:48 pm (UTC)I've been thinking over and over again about what you told me last night, and it just makes my heart so happy. I really do treasure the connection that we have, and how far we've come these past few years.
I'd very much like to keep spending time together, as we have been these past two weeks. I also particularly enjoyed how we ended the evening. Champagne and a kiss! You really know how to sweep a girl clean off her feet. I'm still floating a little, honestly.
Any last minute Christmas cards or wrapping to do? I've got some letters to send, and one or two things to wrap yet, but nothing too time consuming. It's been hard wrapping presents for my dorm-mates without them coming in to see.
Re: Private Message to Draco Malfoy
Date: 2011-12-24 12:23 am (UTC)Yes, I've still got about half to wrap and parcel up. With exams and the ball right on top of each other I've not had time to keep on top of things as usual.
You could always go wrap presents in the bath? Heh.

Date: 2011-12-24 12:39 am (UTC)And music and cocoa sounds bril, so long as we don't have to listen to that song about the Twelve Days of Christmas. It goes on for bloody ages, that one. And what would one do, exactly, with eleven lords a-leapin'?
