ORDER ONLY

...I got done talking with the Headmaster a little while ago.

He looked awful.

I'm to be the new Slytherin prefect -- he said something along the lines of how the House would need a steady hand at the helm, and how he trusted I'd be sympathetic and helpful during these trying times.

I don't think we'll be able to get together for a large meeting at all. When we were talking about options for a memorial, he said any 'spontaneous' gathering of more than five or six students would be seen as problematic by the Enforcers, and made it clear not to push the envelope on that.

Sue, he said the choir singing a few songs at dinner would be appropriate, and that there'd be a moment of silence and reflection.

We'll also have a smaller memorial and meeting with Desai tonight in Slytherin.

He suggested the journals for any other 'eulogising' we might wish to do.

We might try to use the galleons to get people's questions out.

I'm glad he's picked you, Pansy. One more person situated to get warnings out if necessary. We'll all help you as much as we can.

I suppose that he won't fill the position of Head Girl.

I think if people want to eulogise in the journals, they'll need to be extra careful of what they say.

Oh, of course, they're not going to let us meet. And it's bloody horrible about the wands. I suppose they might've made us give them over anyway, but wasn't it just awfully bloody convenient for them that we'd given them up voluntarily for the wedding?

The only silver lining I can think of is that this way, no one got their Gryffindor up and tried refusing to give their wand over. Because, seriously? There'd be loads more people hurt or dead now. We really are fish in a barrel here. I think it's how they must have felt at Ollerton. The people we trapped there.

Desai asked me to read Pansy, Sally Anne, Blaise, Millicent, and Gregory at the meeting tonight. She wants to know if anyone is occluding.

I'm not going to say that anyone is, of course, but I wonder where she's going with this. My mother wrote to her earlier today, along with Crouch and the Headmaster, and I wonder if this has something to do with it.
