My old robes got utterly ruined at the Quidditch World Cup. I probably could have gotten them clean and repaired them but I couldn't even stand to look at them after. I think I threw them away, and tried not to think about the fact that we were told to bring dress robes this year because we'd need them. I spent about three hours this afternoon wondering if there was ANY way to persuade Mrs Stretton to send me something (and thinking there was probably no way and I'd be better off seeing if Professor Sinistra could help me -- not that I'd want to bother her today, did you hear everyone talking about that article in the gossip magazine? how do you suppose they found out about her and the Razzer? Everyone suspected but they've been very careful not to ever say anything in front of students that would settle the matter.)
