Private Message to Susan Bones

Hey Bones

I hope we keep up Tea of the Strange next term. I think we ought to induct Loony Lovegood as an honourary member. Did you see the hat she wore to the match?

I wanted to ask you a favour, actually. If you're not busy. I've been working on this song, see, only I'm having trouble with getting the melody just right, and I can't sing terribly well so it's hard for me to tell if it's the way I want it, and I'd usually ask Draco to help me out, but it's really not his kind of song. So if you could help me out with it a bit, I'd really appreciate it.

A shoe would be perfect--or some other little odd thing we find around the castle. Maybe we should all bring something and send the weirdest one.

I'm tempted to say we should chuck out Bulstrode, but it seems an awfully Brown & Patil thing to do...so maybe better not!

Let's do the clue-sending--it'll give her a fun sort of mystery to puzzle out over summer hols.

Thanks! Yeah, I liked the idea of having the choruses be a bit faster, almost cheerful, and then having the verses be slower, instead of slow all the way through.

I especially liked the "coloured my soul" bit, that was really good; and the bit about the joy of love and the pain of loss crashing together.

That's just how people talk, at funerals and things when they're really sad, but sharing good memories of the person.
