Hey Bones
I hope we keep up Tea of the Strange next term. I think we ought to induct Loony Lovegood as an honourary member. Did you see the hat she wore to the match?
I wanted to ask you a favour, actually. If you're not busy. I've been working on this song, see, only I'm having trouble with getting the melody just right, and I can't sing terribly well so it's hard for me to tell if it's the way I want it, and I'd usually ask Draco to help me out, but it's really not his kind of song. So if you could help me out with it a bit, I'd really appreciate it.

I'd love to help with your song--would you like to meet before dinner?
It seemed like the room where we had TTotS had quite good acoustics.

We'll have to bring it up to everyone else to see if they agree, of course, but I think she's a shoe-in. We ought come up with a really funny way of inviting her. Hah! Maybe we should find a really weird looking shoe and write the message on the inside or something and send it by owl.

Date: 2011-05-23 01:23 am (UTC)I'm tempted to say we should chuck out Bulstrode, but it seems an awfully Brown & Patil thing to do...so maybe better not!

Date: 2011-05-23 01:33 am (UTC)And Milli might act like she doesn't care one way or the other, but I really think she likes it. She came to both of the ones this term, didn't she? And if she doesn't care to, she certainly doesn't have to come!
Thanks for helping me out today. You really do have a very pretty singing voice. I'm especially glad we sorted out that tricky bit in the verses, I know I couldn't have sorted it out half as fast on my own.

Date: 2011-05-23 01:39 am (UTC)Thanks! Yeah, I liked the idea of having the choruses be a bit faster, almost cheerful, and then having the verses be slower, instead of slow all the way through.
I especially liked the "coloured my soul" bit, that was really good; and the bit about the joy of love and the pain of loss crashing together.
That's just how people talk, at funerals and things when they're really sad, but sharing good memories of the person.

Date: 2011-05-23 01:47 am (UTC)Maybe we should all meet up one more time before end of term? We could talk about letting Loony in, and what to write on the bits we'll send her over summer.
If you talk to Brocklehurst, I'll ask Sally-Anne and Milli what they think.
